How to Get Your Website Rankings on Google? ( SEO For Dentists )
Does your dental practice appear on the first page of search results? Otherwise, potential patients won't even know your practice exists. Instead, they make an appointment with a competitor.
How can you get your practice to appear on the first page of Google search results?
In this article, we'll walk you through the 7 Keys to Local Search Engine Optimization. These are the same steps we take to get our dental SEO clients to rank on the first page of Google.
Step 1. Create a responsive website
First and foremost, you need to make sure that your website is responsive and accessible on a variety of devices, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Google ranks higher ranking websites suitable for mobile phones. Before you do anything, make sure your website is highly responsive. It's an easy victory.
If it doesn't respond, consider a new website that uses Dentalfone's proprietary Hybrid Responsive ™ technology, which offers advanced response technology specifically tailored to the device your patient is using.
Step 2. Optimize your website for relevant keywords
It is important that your website has different pages for each of the services and procedures that you provide.
For example, if you are a general dentist offering cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and children's dentistry, you may want pages on your website for each of these services. If you are a periodontist, you should have separate pages for each of your specific procedures.
And then, it's important to make sure that these subpages are linked correctly on your website so that visitors (and search engines) can find these pages.
The next step is to optimize these pages for relevant keywords. You need to know the phrases you are looking for first and then incorporate those phrases into the content of your pages. In particular, the most important places to insert keywords are the title tag, header and body of the page website.
For example, if you are an orthodontist in Boston, your patients will search for you using phrases such as "orthodontist in Boston" or "orthodontist in Boston". For this reason, you should make sure to include the word "orthodontist" and the word "Boston" in the title, header, and copy of your home page. If you also offer Invisalign services, you want an Invisalign page optimized for relevant keywords.
Plus, you want to make sure your contact details are easy to find on your website. In particular, you should include your office name, address and telephone number, referred to as “NAP”, in the footer of each of your pages. (As we'll see later, this will affect your local ranking.)
By following these steps, your website will be configured to show up on Google when potential customers search for it. But there are other steps you can take to outperform your competition in the leaderboard!
Step 3. Optimize your Google My Business profiles.
To be displayed in local Google Maps results, you must have a verified Google My Business profile. Make sure you select the appropriate categories, fill in the description field, and add images to your profile. Also make sure you have entered the hours of operation and other details correctly.
If you have multiple locations, make sure you have a Google My Business profile for each location.
Creating your Google profile is a necessary step to rank in Google results. As we will see, we are not done yet ...
Step 4. Seek advice from current patients
Reviews are an important part of Google's local search engine algorithm. If you can get more reviews than your competition, you can be ahead of the rankings.
Typically, users don't take the time to write reviews and testimonials about services they are happy with unless prompted to do so. Ask current patients to add a Google review of their dental practice.
Step 5. Get listed in online directories
In addition to your Google profile, it is important that you list your dental practice on all other directory websites such as Yelp, Manta.com, and many more.
By listing your business and using consistent NAP information on your listings, you are letting Google know that your business is a real, trustworthy business. Whenever your PAN is posted on a website, it is considered a “deadline” for your practice. The more quotes you have, the higher your business is in the local search results.
Step 6. Promote Your Website With Press Releases
The next step is to promote your dental website so that you continue to generate new dates and links to your websites.
One particular advertising method that we recommend for dentists is online press releases. Publishing press releases allows you to generate even more citations for your practice. Done well, a single press release can generate up to 200 citations for your practice!
We recommend a regular schedule of press releases so that you can consistently publish and promote news from your practice. For example, you can promote new services, seasonal specials, new hires, new offices, new branding and websites, and other advertisements.
Step 7. Follow-up
Finally, keep an eye on your results. You want to constantly track your SEO keywords, traffic, and conversions. This way you know what is working and also identify areas for improvement. Only with follow-up will you be able to maximize your return on investment (ROI).
Their professionalism, flexibility, and dedication set them apart.
