HOW DO YOU USE THE POPULAR SEMRUSH TOOL TO SEO YOUR BLOG?

In this post I present strategies with which you can learn to use SEMrush and use the data provided by SEMRush to optimize your website for the search engine.

Before I get to the tips, I would like to point out some problems with existing blogs and show you how SEMrush can help you improve your keyword ranking.

How to improve keyword ranking with SEMrush:
One of the biggest problems with old blogs (where SEO is / was not a goal) is the poor ranking of the keywords.

Most of the traffic these blogs receive comes from random posts. However, it is not clear which keywords drive traffic to these posts. Important information is missing here, because if you know which keywords your blog belongs to and where the keyword is, you can take various measures to improve your search engine ranking.

Let me give you a practical scenario from ShoutMeLoud ...

All blog articles written before 2013 do not target a specific keyword. Most of my previous blog articles are classified according to random keywords in different positions. Some of them are on the first page, others on the second, others on the third, fourth, fifth, etc.

If I follow this guide, I can find the keywords that these blog posts are classified in and improve these rankings. You can also follow this guide and do the same for your site.

Let's start:

First, create a free account in SEMrush.

Once connected, enter your domain name in the search field and click "Full Report" on the organic keywords. It lists all the money and traffic keywords you are positioning yourself for, as well as other important details such as:

• Traffic estimation
• CPC AdSense
• Keyword position
• Percentage of traffic
• Keyword Trends

Then assign your report to the "keyword position".

We do this because we want to transfer our results from the second to the first page and want to use my CTR technique for Google search to get more clicks. You can also sort by "Keyword Trend". This is a good practice if you want to focus on increasing traffic.

If you'd like to increase your AdSense earnings, you can also use the "Keyword CPC" to sort them.

We therefore rank according to our specific goals.

Now create a list of all the URLs you need to work on. You can use a table to create a list of keywords, locations, and URLs.

You can also add your keywords in the SEMrush position checker, as it also allows you to check the ranking of your keywords. This way you can track the progress of your efforts.

Now we have used SEMrush to extract important data from our site:

• Keywords for which we are in the ranking.
• Money keywords.
• Keyword traffic.

Our next goal is to improve the ranking of these keywords.

Here is the strategy that works for me:

1. Use a keyword optimization plugin.

I use the Yoast SEO plugin to optimize my publications for certain keywords. Previously, I provided a detailed user guide for the Yoast SEO plug-in that tells you how to use it for optimal performance. This takes care of your SEO on the page.

You can also use SEMRush's SEO Writing Assistant feature.

Additional tip: If possible, add pictures, videos, infographics, tables, diagrams, tables and slides. Make your content of the highest quality possible. This way you can keep your keyword ranking for a long time.

2. Use link building.

To improve the ranking, the creation of backlinks is very important.

3. Create more related content.

It's a technique I discovered at the end of the game, but it still works very well for me.

How to use SEMrush for more SEO on your blog:

I also use SEMrush to generate more keyword ideas that generate more traffic and therefore more advertising revenue.

For example, my niche is blogging and SEO, so I can focus on similar niche blogs to get more ideas for content and keywords.
